For years, the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts has been a prominent presence in the American arts scene. As the organization prepared to launch a major capital campaign, however, it faced two significant obstacles: Would-be donors assumed that the federal government provided substantial financial support, and they did not know that a wide range of education programs complemented the group's famed summer performance series. Wolf Trap commissioned Lipman Hearne to create a family of materials that would educate donors and inspire them to new levels of philanthropy.
