To honor the legacy of our cofounder Beth Drews, The Goodman Center announced at last year’s Communications Network Conference that it would offer 20 full-time scholarships to deserving nonprofit professionals. Since that announcement, The Goodman Center received nominations from foundations across the country.

We’re delighted to announce the winners.

The 2011 Beth Drews Scholarship recipients are working in a wide range of fields around the world, from a biotechnology project in Uganda to an autism and Asperger's center in Canada to environmental protection in the US. We’re pleased that this first round of awards represents such diversity in issues, geography, and size of organizations represented. See the list of winners.

Nominations for scholarships in 2011 are now closed, but foundations can nominate nonprofit professionals for a Beth Drews Scholarship in 2012.

The Goodman Center, a partnership between Lipman Hearne and Andy Goodman, provides highly interactive online workshops taught by nationally recognized experts. Learn more about The Goodman Center and how you can improve your own organization’s communications.
