What do an architect, a sports medicine researcher, a cellist, a developmental biologist, a radio producer, a neurologist, a conservator, a poet, a technologist, and a public historian have in common? On September 20, they were among the 22 individuals named 2011 MacArthur Fellows. A long-standing client of Lipman Hearne, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation awards Fellows each year for their creativity, originality, and potential to make important contributions in the future.

Fellows each receive $500,000 over five years in “no-strings attached” support. MacArthur Fellowships come without stipulations and reporting requirements, and offer Fellows unprecedented freedom and opportunity to reflect, create, and explore.
