The American Marketing Association (AMA) presented the Higher Education Marketer of the Year Awards on Tuesday, November 13 at the 2012 AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education in New Orleans. The team award was given to Lipman Hearne client, Young Harris College.
YHC's Communications and Marketing team was given the award for their success in transforming their two-year institution to a four-year, liberal arts college.
YHC's Admissions and Communications and Marketing teams collaborated on branding and enrollment initiatives to create new meaning for their institution. The results of this dual approach have yielded promising results - the team intends to accelerate its campaign to meet their targeted enrollment goal of 1,200 students by 2015 ahead of schedule.
Notable results to date include the largest freshman class in YHC history with 437 students and a record total enrollment of 1,035.
