Colleen O'Grady has more than 10 years experience in the nonprofit sector, and her specialization is in philanthropic messaging and nonprofit communications strategy. Equally at ease with big-picture message systems and the smallest of persuasive story details, Colleen works directly with clients to produce fresh creative solutions that compel giving, commitment, and enthusiasm.
Colleen’s clients have included the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, the Chicago Community Trust, Inova Health Systems Foundation, the Marine Biological Laboratory, Northwest Area Foundation, Rush University Medical Center, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Imagine No Malaria initiative of the United Methodist Church, the University of Arizona, and the University of Miami.
Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, Colleen spent seven years as a nonprofit management consultant with a national firm, developing five-year strategic plans, annual and long-term philanthropic marketing plans, seven- to nine-figure gift proposals, campaign communication strategies, and cases for campaign support.
Colleen graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English from Oberlin College.
