Peter Boyle

Vice President

Pete Boyle plays an integral role in Lipman Hearne’s education communications and public affairs efforts.  Currently, Pete works with Lipman Hearne clients such as Jobs for the Future, International Baccalaureate, Citizen Schools, and Education Management Corporation.

Before joining Lipman Hearne, Pete served as vice president and leader of the higher education communications team at Widmeyer communications.  In this role, he managed public affairs efforts with a diverse group of organizations, including The College Board, Northwestern University, Princeton University, Miami University of Ohio, West Virginia University, the American Association of Community Colleges, Lumina Foundation for Education, Association of Corporate Counsel, National Collegiate Honors Council, and the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Pete has helped publicize and advance the agendas of his diverse clients in the media, on Capitol Hill, with key publics and constituencies, and at the grassroots level. Such clients have included The Committee for Economic Development, United Parcel Service, the Pew Partnership for Civic Change, George Washington University’s Democracy Online Project, the Annenberg Public Policy Center, and the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law.

Earlier in his career, Pete provided a variety of communications services for business-to-business, high tech and public affairs clients for Watt, Roop & Co (now Fleishman-Hillard) in Cleveland, OH.  He also served as a political communications director providing counsel for candidates for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives and ran campaigns for the Ohio State Legislature. Pete served as Ohio deputy press secretary for Clinton/Gore ’96.

Pete graduated from Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts, with a B.S. in business administration with a marketing concentration and a minor in journalism.
