Loretta Cranbourne

Associate Vice President

Loretta Cranbourne has more than eight years of experience in healthcare brand marketing, public relations and program management.  She recently joined Lipman Hearne after six years at Schering-Plough HealthCare Products where she worked as a Product Manager on the Claritin, Dr. Scholl’s and Coppertone brands.

She has extensive experience in strategic marketing, brand management, product innovation, Internet strategy, and program management.

While working on the Claritin Innovations team, Loretta led the market research efforts to identify the consumer feasibility of multiple new product concepts, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative analysis.  She was also selected to be part of the company’s Marketing Leadership executive committee, where she helped developed the initiative’s vision and strategy, and sought speakers to provide professional enrichment to the entire marketing division.

As a Product Manager on Dr. Scholl’s, Loretta was responsible for all marketing activities on a multi-million-dollar line extension targeted against a young female audience.  In this capacity, she developed a new platform for an integrated marketing strategy – involving significant product positioning and advertising concept development – that has since been implemented, resulting in significantly increasing the scale of the business.

On the Coppertone business, Loretta oversaw all consumer promotions, new product developments, packaging and collateral improvements, and business and forecasting analysis for Coppertone Sport.  She led a cross-functional team to develop the new product lineup and two new promotions that have since been continued and imitated by competitors.  She also worked closely with the warehouse club businesses to develop pallet art, and initiated displays that generated almost $5 million in incremental sales.  While on the Coppertone Kids product line, she led the development of all promotional programs and managed sun care sampling production and distribution.

Loretta began her career at Susan Davis International in Washington, D.C. where she crafted and pitched news releases for a diverse range of clients, and assisted in developing logistical plans for large special events and press conferences.

Loretta holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B. A. from Columbia Business School.
