Production Designer

Ruta has over 20 years of experience in the graphic design field. She has been on staff at Lipman Hearne since 1998 and has worked in design production for a wide range of clients including the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, Bryant Business magazine, Sewanee: University of the South, Morton Arboretum, and University of Miami.

Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, Ruta worked primarily on a freelance basis in various areas of the design field including package design and textbook publishing. She has done design and production work for clients including Kym Abrams Design; American Dental Association; Foote, Cone, and Belding; Forward; Ligature; McDougal Littel; Quarasan; Joan Sommers Design; Source, Inc.; and the Chicago Tribune. Ruta's illustration clients included Honda; Oxford Press; Penguin; Putnum Press; Quarasan; Rodale Press; Scott Foresman; Three Communication Design; and The University of Chicago Press.

Ruta holds a B.F.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University in drawing and printmaking. She currently volunteers at Centro Romero, assisting in ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for Spanish-speakers.
