Shelley Goode

Vice President

Shelley Goode oversees fundraising communications at Lipman Hearne. She has more than 26 years of experience in fundraising and development with a diverse set of clients in the nonprofit, educational, and cultural sectors.

Shelley has gained a broad understanding of the needs of donors and organizations through her diverse experiences in fundraising positions at Johns Hopkins University, Syracuse University, and Spelman College.  She was also part of the team that helped to open Port Discovery, the Children’s Museum in Baltimore; and more recently worked in Development and External Affairs with the Smithsonian Institute.

Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, Shelley was the Vice President for External Affairs at the National Children’s Museum in Washington D.C, where she developed and directed a $130 million capital campaign to enable the creation of the National Children’s Museum scheduled to open in 2009.

Shelley holds a B.A in Arts Administration and Political Science from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.
