Designer

Lars has over 10 years of experience in design, illustration, and design production. Among the institutions he has served are the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Northern Arizona University, Sidwell Friends School, and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Prior to Lipman Hearne, Lars worked on a freelance basis at a range of agencies including Arc Worldwide, Upshot, Otherwise, and OgilvyOne. His illustration work has appeared in artist publications, on the cover of a mystery novel, and on an oceanarium wall of the John G. Shedd Aquarium.

Lars has written advertising and promotional materials for SEEDS, a nonprofit organization that fosters projects to reduce our ecological footprint. He is a graduate of the Archeworks program, where he focused on solutions to extend the useful life of office furniture, a significant component of the U.S. waste stream.

Lars received a B.A. from Oberlin College in silkscreening and painting.
