Creating Strategic Plans You’ll WANT To Read
Our new alliance
An organization’s strategic plan is vitally important. It’s the best way of letting the world know where you’re planning to go, and how you intend to get there.
Unfortunately, a lot of strategic plans can be…let’s say not fun to read. They may contain all the vision and details required to be effective, but they can lack the emotional storytelling power that helps an institution get its constituencies excited, motivated and on-board with the plan’s new directions.
Here at Lipman Hearne we’ve been working to fix that – through our new alliance with New York-based AKA Strategy. The AKA team is well known for the strategic planning, counseling and coaching services they provide to colleges and other nonprofit organizations. Lipman Hearne has already partnered with AKA to add more storytelling to the strategic planning process for a number of clients, including the State University of New York (SUNY), Fordham University, Florida State University, City University of New York (CUNY), and the University of Illinois System.
Our clients have found that our combined efforts have resulted in more digestible strategic plans that get stakeholders more excited and more engaged. Our new alliance with AKA means we’ll be able to provide even more clients with the combined power of our two organizations.
Put simply, when an organization thinks about both its strategy and how to tell its story at the same time, it works more efficiently and improves the quality of both its vision and the messages it uses to convey that vision. By providing access to the combined skills of AKA and Lipman Hearne, this relationship will provide more organizations with the power to insure meaningful application of their strategic planning efforts. A win all around!
Lipman Hearne and AKA look forward to building new client relationships together, and to utilizing each other’s skills to deliver more world-class strategic planning, counseling and coaching solutions to all our clients.
