Raúl has made a career of being a part of award-winning creative teams in Chicago, contributing to intuitive and beautiful digital experiences for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. He was part of the in-house team at Zingerman’s, a company once named “the coolest small company in America.” For the past few years he has been on the faculty at Grand Valley State University as an assistant professor, teaching beginning through advanced courses in Typography and Graphic Design. His research is focused on the exploration of confluences between graphic design and music. His work for the arts and culture industries has been published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux, S. Fischer Verlag in Germany, Yep Roc Music Group, and Northwestern University.
Raúl currently lives in Michigan with his wife Natalie and their four-year old son Gabriel, as they look forward to returning to Chicago very soon.
