With over 100 years of serving churches and faith-based organizations, it’s no surprise that Ministers Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB) has garnered more than 17,000 members across a wide range of denominations. They are the financial realists for people of faith. In an effort to better position themselves in the financial marketplace they wanted a bolder look that not only spoke to current members, but a younger generation as well.
MMBB partnered with Lipman Hearne to develop a strong brand identity with a faith-forward message that spoke to its members: Faithful lives. Financial confidence. MMBB wanted a logo that would clearly communicate the brand promise and would appeal to their growing demographic of younger ministers. That meant that the logo needed to feel more substantial and contemporary but also, would differentiate them from other financial services organizations. This meant emphasizing what set them apart: Their role as a financial ministry serving the people who served God. Our solution was, as our client puts it, “unapologetically Christian” but also exuded the confidence to assure members that their retirement funds were expertly stewarded.
